About the Blog
“There have been multiple times in my career when I’m learning something new, when I’m just immersed, whether it’s a new programming paradigm or a new piece of tech, and I’m working 13 something hours a day. I have dreams about what I’m working on. That’s when I know I’m really deep in the groove of soaking in this new information… These are the times I look back on quite fondly; when I’ve been that obsessive about something that it’s been soaked into my dreams” — John Carmack
Welcome to my always curious, often confused adventure in information security.
I spend a not-insignificant amount of time chasing wild geese down rabbit holes. My hope is that by putting in the time and effort required to write a coherent blog post about whatever it is I’m working on, I’ll be able to retain more of what I learn and share the results of my chase with others.
My other hope is that if you disagree with something I’ve written, or think you’ve got a better way of doing it, you’ll let me know. I’m going to be using each blog post as a sort of living resource on the subject, so I’ll be updating old posts as I get new information until I know pretty much everything. So I’ll be busy for a while.
